The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office believes a Milwaukee man arrested following a high speed chase this week was in Fond du Lac to deal drugs. Twenty four year old Demarcus Johnson was arrested following the eight mile long chase that started on Interstate 41 and ended on National Avenue in the city of Fond du Lac. Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says deputies recovered a large amount of cash, drugs and two handguns following the arrest. Johnson is charged with eluding, recklessly endangering safety and possession of THC all with a use of a dangerous weapon enhancer. He also faces traffic-related, including driving the wrong way on Johnson Street during the chase.
