8-31-20 child injured in fdl county farm accident

A nine year old girl received a serious leg injury in a farm accident.  It happened Sunday afternoon at a farm on Grandview Road in the town of Empire.   Investigators say the child was riding on a hay-style wagon attached to the tractor when her leg entangled with the wheel causing the injury.  She was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

8-31-20 lake winnebago rescue

Four people were rescued after jumping in the water when a boat began taking on water on Lake Winnebago over the weekend.   The incident happened Saturday afternoon about a  mile northeast of the lighthouse.   A DNR Warden brought one subject in the water  on board their vessel.  The Sheriff’s Office Boat Patrol team rescued  three other occupants from the water.   Four other  occupants remained on the vessel in distress, which was […]
