The Fond du Lac city council vice president says a Lakeside Park pavilion renovation project should be put on hold. Kay Miller says she will make a motion at the next Fond du Lac city council meeting to hold off on any renovation work until after a feasibility study is completed on a Lakeside Park alternate plan. Miller says hopefully the council understands that the public is becoming informed about the project and not happy with it. A Facebook group and others have started petition drives, gathering more than 2,000 signatures in opposition to the plan. A group of business leaders have pledged money to help the city build a multi-purpose building, including restaurant on the lighthouse peninsula, and amphitheater on Oven Island.
