MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The University of Wisconsin System will get about $32 million in federal aid to pay for coronavirus tests and personal protective equipment when students return to campuses next month. Gov. Tony Evers and system officials announced Thursday that the money will come from the federal coronavirus relief bill that Congress passed in May. They say the money will cover hundreds of thousands of tests for students. Faculty and staff have criticized regents’ decision to offer in-person instruction this year, saying it’s not safe.
