The biggest street reconstruction project in the city of Fond du Lac this year is done. North Main Street reopened this week after being closed since March for a major reconstruction project. Public Works director Jordan Skiff says the newly reconstructed street, including the intersection with Merrill Avenue, will help traffic flow smoother. Street bicycle lanes were between Merrill Avenue and Johnson Street, along with an off-street path on the north side of Merrill for bikes and pedestrians.
