The executive director of the downtown Fond du Lac Partnership is encouraging Fond du Lac residents to support downtown businesses as they continue to recover during the pandemic. Amy Hansen says a statewide mask mandate gives local small businesses and customers a greater level of comfort. Meanwhile, Hansen says the recently completed North Main Street reconstruction project is a huge relief for local business owners. “Construction that went from Johnson (Street) to Merrill went for probably five-six months, which really siphoned traffic off of Main Street,’ Hansen told WFDL news. “…just in the past few days it is so much more noticeable that cars are back on Main Street.”
