A man wanted on an outstanding warrant picked the wrong time to try and run from police. When Fond du Lac police spotted the suspect near Fifth and Marr Streets Thursday morning, he took off running. Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says fortunately there were extra sheriff’s squads in the area because they are currently working a highway safety grant looking for traffic violations. Waldschmidt says officers set up a perimeter, deputies captured the suspect and turned him over to police.
