Envision Greater Fond du Lac is coming out in support of a proposed binding agreement with a business group for a Lakeside Park alternate master plan. The Fond du Lac city council will consider the agreement at their meeting Wednesdya night. Envision president Sadie Parafiniuk says the binding agreement is a natural next step in the process. “It isn’t just about seeing one building happen, it’s a small step in terms of a lot of steps to see our community move forward,” Parafiniuk told WFDL news. Parafiniuk says the firm conducting a marketing feasibility study even expressed surprise an agreement like this wasn’t in place. Parafiniuk says Envision views the project as an exciting economic development opportunity for the county.
