9-30-20 fdl county coronavirus deaths at 14

There was one new COVID-19 death reported in Fond du Lac County Tuesday.  There are now 14 coronavirus deaths in the county since the start of the pandemic.  There were 25 new positive cases Tuesday bringing to 2,164 the total number of cases in the county.   There are 613 active cases and 11 people are hospitalized in Fond du Lac County.

9-30-20 construction to begin soon on lakeside park pavilion renovation

Construction on a renovated Fond du Lac Lakeside Park pavilion is expected to begin soon.   Public Works director Jordan Skiff says Capelle Brothers and Diedrich were selected as the low bid contractor for the project.  Skiff says the contract will be awarded soon followed by actual construction. 9-30 failed uw system president search costs taxpayers more than $200,000

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A failed search for a person to lead the University of Wisconsin System has cost taxpayers about $216,000, a cost unlikely to be recouped because of contract language with the company hired to help find the next president.
