Republican congressman Glenn Grothman says rising COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin are alarming. Grothman was briefed on the situation last week during a meeting with representatives from the Wisconsin Hospital Association. Grothman says for six months Wisconsin had been safer than most other states, but right now hospitalizations are over 50 percent higher than the previous high, COVID deaths are climbing, and he says it’s focused in the Fox Valley. “Just remind people in the Fond du lac area, as you get out and about, be careful,” Grothman told WFDL news. “…more likely to wear a mask than you have in the past, because the numbers kind of shock me. If you want to get on the Wisconsin Hospital Association website you can see it yourself.” “The graph is like a squiggly graph up and down and all of the sudden you have this massive increases both in cases and in deaths,” Grothman said. “…for that reason I’d be a little bit afraid of going to the Fox Valley.”
