The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says passage of a binding agreement by the Fond du Lac city council last week solidifies a mutual agreement between a business group and city for an alternative Lakeside Park master plan. Sadie Parafiniuk says Lakeside Forward is supportive of changes that were made to the agreement by the city prior to last week’s special meeting. Parafiniuk says she is confident the agreement protects the interests of Fond du Lac taxpayers. “Yes, because I’m confident that the city manager and city attorney would never put forth something that would put the city council or city taxpayers in any harms way,” Parafiniuk told WFDL news. A press release issued by Lakeside Forward says the group extends their gratitude to the city council and city leadership for their foresight and perserverance, and the residents who have voiced support of this project.
