Political observers in Wisconsin says while it’s uncertain when or if president Donald Trump will make another campaign stop in the state before the election, one thing is certain…the coronavirus has become the top campaign issue since his diagnosis with COVID-19. Wispolitics editor J.R. Ross says that’s problematic for the president because Republicans want to talk about law and order, taxes and other pocketbook issues and not COVID-19. “They don’t want the focus on COVID-19 because they feel if it is then they are at a disadvantage because remember president Trump’s numbers in polls shows that the public, generally speaking, doesn’t approve of how he’s handled the virus.” Ross says following his diagnosis it’s pretty clear the president won’t be on the campaign trail or back in Wisconsin for at least the next week and a half.
