The president of Destination Lake Winnebago Region says the governor’s announcement of investments in tourism, entertainment and cultural venues is welcome news. The governor announced more than $100 million in grants, including money for the hotel industry, live music and performance venues, privately owned movie theaters and non-profit cultural venues. Craig Molitor says it’s good to see some relief coming for folks who are really struggling. Molitor says the summer tourism season was not good. “In one word, bleak,” Molitor told WFDL news. “…Bleak, bleak, bleak. It’s just been so sad to see the local businesses devastated.”
