The Fond du Lac County Health Department is reporting a record number of COVID-19 cases over this past weekend, and another COVID death. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller tells WFDL news since Friday afternoon there were 280 new positive COVID cases. There are now 3,054 total cases in the county. There are now 15 COVID-19 deaths with one new death reported . Mueller says the victim is an 85 year old woman. Mueller says she’s not sure why Wisconsin leads the nation in the percentage of positive cases. She says her message for people who have had close contact with someone who has tested positive is to “Please take it seriously and stay home.” There are 912 COVID-19 active cases and 14 people are hospitalized in Fond du Lac County.
