St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac has broken ground on a new artificial turf football field. According to a Facebook post with the COVID-19 pandemic pushing fall sports to spring and as a result of losing some land to the Highway 23 reconstruction project the school was provided a unique opportunity to fast track the turf project to this fall. The school says the new field will allow students and the greater community continuous use of the field for athletics, classes and extracurricular activities without compromising it’s conditions. The school says it looks forward to partnering with local organizations for use of the field.
