The Fond du Lac County Clerk says at this point there does not appear to be any shortage of poll workers in Fond du Lac County for the November election. The Wisconsin Elections Commission last week reported there are shortages in 51 municipalities. Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says there are no shortages being reported by any area municipalities. Freiberg says a few clerks said they were not quite sure yet, and said in some areas there are even waiting lists of people who want to be poll workers. Freiberg says it’s “day by day when it comes to planning for this election.” In person absentee voting starts Tuesday. Freiberg says 17,000 absentee ballots were mailed to Fond du Lac County residents and Freiberg encourages residents who haven’t returned them to do so right away.
