There were long lines at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Thursday for free drive-thru COVID-19 testing. The testing site was scheduled to be open until 7pm but had reached it’s capacity by 2:30pm. The testing site will be open Thursdays through December 10. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the National Guard is conducting the tests. People should remain in their vehicles throughout the process. Masks are required and no appointment is necessary. Mueller says people should be prepared for long wait times, have a full tank of gas and use restrooms before arriving. The testing site will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. If t he testing site reaches daily testing capacity it may close early.
