12-1-20 lowell man sentenced to prison for arson fire

A Lowell man convicted of arson is going to prison.  Dodge County Circuit judge Brian Pfitzinger sentenced 42 year old Benjamin Mueller to four years in prison and 15 years extended supervision for Arson of Building.  Mueller was convicted of setting fire to a town of Herman residence where he was living in April 2017.   While nobody was injured other residents of the home were displaced for an extended period of time  while the property […]

12-1-20 dumpster fire at fdl milk specialties

A Fond du Lac business was evacuated for a short period of time following a dumpster fire.  Shortly after 1pm Monday Fond du Lac firefighters were called to Milk Specialties at 325 Tompkins St. for a report of a dumpster on fire.   The dumpster was eventually able to be pulled out from the building and fire was extinguished but not before the fire caused moderate smoke conditions in parts of the building. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin corn growers are expected to see record yields this year. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service forecast an average of 184 bushels of corn per acre. 11-30-20 waupun duplex fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a Waupun duplex. Shortly after 12:30am Saturday Waupun firefighters were called to the scene at 540 E. 11-30-20 stray bullets strike house, garage in fdl county

Fortunately nobody was injured in two separate hunting incidents when  stray bullets struck a house and garage in Fond du Lac County.  Both incidents happened on Pommering Road in the town of Springvale involving hunters on nearby state owned public land.   The first incident happened Friday where a bullet struck a house and the second incident happened Saturday afternoon when a stray bullet struck a garage and car inside.   Deputies made contact with the group […]

11-30-20 chain reaction crash on i-41

One person  received minor injuries in a three vehicle chain reaction crash on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac County.  The crash happened Friday afternoon on northbound I-41 near Sales Road.  Traffic had slowed for a previous crash that occurred in that area.  Sixty year old Brian Brunner of Cleveland, Wisconsin was cited for inattentive driving after his vehicle struck two northbound trucks that had slowed on the interstate for the previous crash.  The […]
