Another COVID-19 death has been reported in Fond du Lac County. There are now 24 coronavirus deaths in the county. There were 131 positive cases confirmed in Fond du Lac County Wednesday. There are 5,647 confirmed positive cases in the county. Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the local cases and recent record daily COVID-19 cases and high positivity rate shows Wisconsin continues to head in the wrong direction. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says she still remembers when five cases in a day was a lot and now when 100 is not a bad thing, that’s alarming. Mueller says there are good mitigation strategies in place, but unfortunately people are not following them. The state set a new record earlier this week with more than 5,700 cases in one day, and the seven day positivity average was at more than 30 percent.
