11-6-20 league of women voters of wisconsin says election ran smooth

Despite all of the concerns about the potential for problems, the executive director of the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin, says all indications are the presidential election in Wisconsin ran smoothly.  Debra Cronmiller says the League had election observers at various polling locations throughout the state.   “In general my impression was that it went like any other election, despite the fact that we had such high turnout, more absentee ballots that ever have been cast in Wisconsin’s history,”  Cronmiller told AM 1170s Between the Lines program.   “We were prepared for those realities.”  Responding to people who were worried about the integrity of the voting process Cronmiller suggests those people go and observe for themselves.  She says the clerks and polls workers are very well trained.   She says all of the protocols were in place so there was “no way to question the integrity of the result.”
