11-6-20 online instruction-fdl school district

The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says the decision of the Fond du Lac School District to go to online instruction shows how difficult it is to keep staff and students healthy outside the school buildings.  The school district announced this week it would be going to online instruction starting Friday.  Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says she hopes the district can return to a blended model at the end of the month, but says that depends on staff and students following safe practices.  In a letter to parents the District says there has not been a spread of COVID-19 in schools, but there has been a significant increase in staff and student absences due to quarantines and positive cases and there aren’t enough staff or substitutes to keep schools open.
