The president of Fond du Lac’s St. Agnes Hospital says she is concerned about the strain on hospital bed capacity as we move into the flu season during the coronavirus pandemic. Hospital president Katherine Vergos says the hospital will have to be very creative in how bed capacity is managed to be able to accommodate both COVID and flu patients. “Now it is more important to ensure there are not large gatherings, that people are staying home if they’re sick, and really following those safe practices,” Vergos told WFDL news. Vergos says with Thanksgiving right around the corner people need to stay away from large gatherings. “If you think back to April there was community spread but not it is now.”
