After avoiding any officers getting sick from COVID-19 this spring or summer the Fond du Lac Police Department has not escaped the fall surge in cases. Police chief Bill Lamb says since about the beginning of October several officers have been quarantined due to COVID-19. Lamb says a couple weeks ago ten officers were out at one time in quarantine and last Friday that number was at three. Lamb says the Department was already thin to begin with and the pandemic has had an impact on overtime hours.
