Fond du Lac Republican state representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt says public education, not mandates should the approach in addressing a rising number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Wisconsin. There are now 35 COVID-19 deaths in Fond du Lac County following two deaths reported. Sixty two year old Terry Fields, and 56 year old Renee Aguiree Lopez died Wednesday. There were 103 new cases, bringing to 7,619, the total number of coronavirus cases. Statewide hospitals are reporting a record-high number of patients. When it comes to wearing masks state representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt says for him it’s a matter of personal liberty and personal responsibility. Thiesfeldt says there needs to be a logical plan that isn’t going to take away people’s personal liberties, but challenges people to take care of each other and be respectful of each other’s health.
