Fortunately nobody was injured in two separate hunting incidents when stray bullets struck a house and garage in Fond du Lac County. Both incidents happened on Pommering Road in the town of Springvale involving hunters on nearby state owned public land. The first incident happened Friday where a bullet struck a house and the second incident happened Saturday afternoon when a stray bullet struck a garage and car inside. Deputies made contact with the group of four hunters who confirmed they had been shooting at a deer within the shot angle of the residence. Charges of Endangering Safety by use of a Dangerous Weapon have been referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office against a 21 year old Cudahy man. DNR Wardens confirmed there were no other hunting violations that occurred within the group of hunters. The first incident remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin DNR.
