The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says while a recent round of COVID-19 grant money is certainly helpful, it’s really only a stop-gap measure to help businesses survive this winter. Governor Evers recently announced grants for Wisconsin’s Live Music and Entertainment venues and the lodging industry. Envision president Sadie Parafiniuk says the money won’t be able to cover a lot of staffing expenses for example. Parafiniuk says another round of grants will be targeted toward hard the hard hit restaurant industry. Parafiniuk says a big problem for restaurants is that a lot of their revenue comes from the sale of alcohol.
