12-16-20 fdl school district superintendent search

The Fond du Lac School District hopes to hire a new superintendent before the end of the school year.  The board met with it’s consultant, Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates  in a  workshop this week to discuss the search process.  Interim superintendent Sharon Simon says the consultant will get staff and community input to develop a profile before accepting applications for the position.  Simon says the firm also will have contacts of superintendents that they feel might be a good fit for the District.  She says the hope is to hire someone by this spring.  “Absolutely.  I’m not quite sure when that will be but I would hope by April or May we would know who the next superintendent is going to be,”  Simon told WFDL news.  Former Superintendent Jim Sebert  stepped down at the end of last school year.  Simon was appointed interim superintendent, but has said she is not be applying for the job on a permanent basis.
