The first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines have arrived in Fond du Lac. Saint Agnes Hospital received it’s first doses Wednesday and Ripon Medical Center and Waupun Memorial Hospital are expected to receive vaccine doses this week. Ripon Medical Center and Waupun Memorial Hospital president DeAnn Thurmer even though the vaccines are not mandatory for hospital staff she anticipates a high percentage to eventually get the vaccine. Thurmer says about 60 percent of staff have indicated they are interested in getting the vaccine right away and others have said they might wait to make sure all of those on the front line are able to get the vaccine first.
