There will be a primary election for Fond du Lac city council and school board. Eleven candidates will square off in a February 16 primary with the top six advancing to the April election. Challengers Lawrence Foster, Misty Gedlinski, Keith Heisler, Brett Zimmermann, Tiffany Brault, Kenneth Cassaday, Nakiah Johnson, Ben Huizenga . Thom Strizek and Patrick Mullen and incumbent Dan Degner are running for three open seats on council. Incumbents Brian Kolstad and Alicia Hans are not seeking re-election. There are seven candidates running for three seats on the Fond du Lac school board. Incumbents Susan Jones and Linda Uselmann are running for re-election. Antonio Godfrey is running for election after being appointed to the board last year along with challengers Todd Schreiter, Joe Guyette, Mark Henschel and Brittany Hoerth.
