The Better Business Bureau has some New Year’s resolutions to help you protect yourself from becoming the victim of a scam. Northeast Wisconsin Regional director for the Better Business Bureau Susan Bach says the first resolution is to be cautious with unsolicited emails. Bach says resolve to never send money to strangers. Resolve to do research before making online payments and purchases. Resolve to use your best judgement when sharing personal information. Bach says the final New Year’s resolution is to be social media smart, by making use of privacy settings on social media and only connecting with people you actually know.
