The Fond du Lac County executive says COVID-19 was the top issue facing the county last year and will continue to be the biggest challenge facing the county this year. “It’s frustrating for everyone out there and it’s flat out frightening for a majority of the people,” County Executive Al Buechel told WFDL news. Buechel says vaccine distribution will be the next step. But he warns that it will take time, probably months. “It’s going to take a while but I think we will get there,” Buechel said. “There’s a lot of people hesitant at first, but when more and more people actually have the vaccine and they see they’re not adversely affected there will be more people willing to step forward.”
