Republican congressman Glenn Grothman says the U.S. Capitol riot is an embarrassment. Grothman says he watched the events unfold on television from his office across the street from the Capitol building. Grothman says misinformation that vice president Mike Pence could somehow declare president Trump winner “ginned up” the protesters. “It will be remembered by irresponsible people in positions of power including sadly the president’s son, kind of egging people on, and of course somebody died, and it’s a shame,” Grothman told WFDL news. Grothman says it will “forever be a stain on the Trump administration.” In the end, Grothman says confirmation process of the president-elect should be perfunctory.
