Nobody was injured and a 16 year old Fond du Lac boy was arrested following a high speed chase Friday in Fond du Lac County. The chase started shortly after a caller reported a reckless driver southbound on Interstate 41 in Winnebago County, traveling at a high rate of speed and almost striking the caller’s vehicle. The State Patrol and Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop the vehicle as it exited I-41 southbound at STH 23. A pursuit continued in the city of Fond du Lac eastbound on West Johnson St, south on Peters Ave, travelling on other city streets trying to elude deputies. The chase ended when the vehicle crashed while trying to negotiate a curve on Grove St. striking several small trees and shrubs before coming to rest on the front yard and terrace of a residence at Grove St between Seymour and Hickory St. The driver and two teenage passengers were not injured.
