The applications for a new Fond du Lac School District superintendent continue to roll in. Interim superintendent Sharon Simon says the district’s consultant will share a leadership profile for the position at the February 22 school board meeting, with a slate of candidates coming before the board at the March 8 meeting. “They (school board) hope to begin interviewing by mid-March, and at the end of March, early April, if deemed necessary they’ll have a second round of interviews,” Simon told WFDL news. “Hopefully they’ll have the next superintendent named sometime in April with a start date of July 1.” Simon has indicated that she is not applying for the position. Former superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert left at the end of last school year after accepting the same position with the Waukesha School District.
