The Fond du Lac County District Attorney admits he is exploring a potential run for statewide office. District Attorney Eric Toney’s name has been mentioned as a possible Republican candidate for state Attorney General. Toney told WFDL news he has had discussions with people about a potential run for attorney general but no decision has been made. Toney says he loves the job he is doing now as District Attorney. Toney is the president-elect of the Wisconsin District Attorney’s Association. Both Toney and the current attorney general, Josh Kaul, are graduates of Fond du Lac’s Goodrich High School.
