Fond du Lac School officials are putting the final touches on plans to open schools to full in-person instruction for the first time this school year. Interim superintendent Sharon Simon says starting next week Fond du lac schools will be open for full in-class instruction five days a week. Simon says 17 percent of parents have opted to have their child continue to learn remotely. Simon says the number one thing for parents to keep in mind is if their child is sick, make sure to keep them home. At schools Simon says masks will be required, there will be increased hand hygiene and cleaning of frequently used surfaces. Simon acknowledges that social distancing will be impossible in some circumstances. Simon says the good news is the number of positive COVID-19 cases in the district continue to decline.
