The sixth annual Sturgeon Spectacular is returning to Fond du Lac this weekend. Fond du Lac Festivals director Pete Wilke says it’s hard to believe that last winter’s festival was the last major large public event in Fond du Lac before the coronavirus pandemic hit about a month later. Wilke says this year’s event will be different focusing on safety and following public health health guidelines. Wilke says the event will be held in downtown Fond du Lac featuring the Wisconsin state snow sculpting competition. Other events include a downtown curling tournament, ice sculpting, life outdoor entertainment, a virtual sturgeon show-off station and the first ever Sturgeon Olympics. Sturgeon Spectacular will be held February 12 through the 14.
