The Rosendale-Brandon School Board has voted in favor of a plan to close the Brandon Middle School, sending those students to Rosendale. The vote was six to three and after the meeting one board member turned in his resignation. Superintendent Wayne Weber say the consolidation plan is in response to a projected 30% drop in enrollment over the next four years. School officials say the consolidation, including eliminating some positions could save the district $68,000. Brandon Elementary School would remain open.
