Republican congressman Glenn Grothman is reitering concerns that thousands of people are going to lose their jobs as a result of president Biden’s decision to ax construction of the controversial Keystone XL Pipeline. “It could be a thousand jobs, that’s what’s been thrown out there,” Grothman told WFDL news. “They’re talking about overall 10,000 jobs. It’s a significant number of people and very well paying jobs.” Grothman says some of those jobs are here in Wisconsin, where a local company, Michel’s Pipeline, is helping to build the pipeline. Grothman says canceling the contract doesn’t end Canada’s need to ship the oil. Grothman says he’s sure that Canada thought this was a done deal.:
