Homicide charges have been filed in connection with the death of a Fond du Lac man who died from a gunshot wound to his leg earlier this month. Attorney General Josh Kaul says Dennell Logan has been charged with first degree intentional homicide in the February 5 shooting of David Posey. Logan also faces charges of felon in passion of a firearm and possession of THC as a repeater. Charges were also filed against Callie Bender for two counts of straw purchase of a firearm, one count of aiding a felon and one count of possession of THC. According to a criminal complaint, Fond du Lac police responded to a crash near the downtown where they found Posey was bleeding from a gunshot wound to his left thigh unconscious and unresponsive. Posey later died from the gunshot wound that evening. The complaint alleges that Logan shot Posey using a firearm that was purchased by Bender.
