A Lakeside Park Management team is recommending a business group own a restaurant at the park initially, with the city eventually assuming ownership. The city council got an update at their meeting Wednesday night. City manager Joe Moore says the tentative proposal calls for Lakeside Forward to own the building for the first seven years, with the city assuming ownership after that period. Moore says it’s important at the start to have people involved who have familiarity with the operation and financing of a restaurant. Meanwhile, the city is accepting proposals for a concessionaire to operate the newly remodeled Lakeside Park Pavilion for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Proposals are due by 4pm Friday.
