Hobby Lobby is coming to Fond du Lac. The Fond du Lac city council has approved a resolution authorizing a development agreement for the redevelopment of the former Shopko property on West Johnson Street. City manager Joe Moore says in addition to a Hobby Lobby the developer is in negotiations with another national retailer for a second space in the Shopko building. Moore says an outlot in the Shopko parking lot would provide an opportunity for a regional or national restaurant chain. Further west on Johnson Street Mejier is planning to open a supercenter in the Forest Mall, along with a gas station and convenience store.
