4-1-21 fdl police have developed a person of interest in fdl tavern shooting

4-1-21 february unemployment rate

The February unemployment rate is up slightly in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties.  The Dodge County jobless rate increased four tenths of a percent to 4.4 percent.  In Fond du Lac County the February unemployment rate stands at 4.1 percent,  up from 3.8 percent in January.    The jobless rate in the city of Fond du Lac increased from four percent to 4.4 percent in February.

4-1-21 charges in fatal crash attributed to distracted driving

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Bismarck man has been charged with manslaughter after a fatal interstate crash that prosecutors have attributed to distracted driving. A North Dakota Highway Patrol affidavit says 24-year-old Timothy McLaughlin was driving a commercial truck on Interstate 94 last July when he struck two other vehicles that slowed due to another crash near Sterling. The Fond du Lac Municipal Service Center is announcing new new hours of operation for the city’s Bulky Waste Drop-Off Site.   Effective  Thursday April 1,  the Department of Public Works  Bulky Waste Drop Off Site on Doty Street  begins  Summer operating hours.  The site will be open from 9am to 3:15pm Monday, Thursday and Friday, 10am to 6pm on Wednesday and 8am to noon on Saturday.  The drop off site is closed on […]

3-31-21 rescue search becomes recovery effort on lake winnebago

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — New reports show Wisconsin schools superintendent candidate Jill Underly has the money edge over opponent Jill Kerr. Campaign finance reports filed Monday show Underly generated $1.3 million in contributions between Feb. 2 and Saturday, including $775,000 from the state Democratic Party.
