The president of Fond du Lac’s St. Agnes Hospital says it has been a long year. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Katherine Vergos says sometimes it seems like a year and other days it seems like five years. Vergos says one of the biggest challenges was how little was known early on about the novel coronavirus. “A lot of stress, a lot of change, a lot of unkown,” Vergos told WFDL news. “It’s been quite a year to be a health care leader and health care provider.” With all of the mixed messages over the past year Vergos says she has tried really hard to stick to the facts and listen to the medical community, CDC and experts.
