A Fond du Lac man was seriously injured in a shooting incident outside a Fond du Lac tavern over the weekend. The incident happened early Sunday morning outside Kings and Queens tavern at the corner of Western Avenue and Military Road. According to a press release a police officer outside the tavern observed a physical altercation and within moments, the officer heard several gun shots and found a 34-year- old Fond du Lac man with gunshot wounds to his body. The police officer immediately began life saving measures. Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue paramedics arrived on the scene continuing life saving measures and transported the individual to the hospital. The victim is in serious but stable condition. The shooting remains under active investigation and investigators are working to identify possible suspects. Police are not releasing additional information. The Fond du Lac Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue, and Wisconsin State Patrol.
