The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says news of a third potentially more severe COVID-19 variant detected in Wisconsin is concerning. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says that’s why it’s all the more important to get people vaccinated as quickly as possible. “Definately something we need to pay attention to and we should be concerned about,” Mueller told WFDL news. “…also a very good reason why we’re working so hard to push vaccine to the eligible and hopefully we can open that up sooner than later.” Meanwhile the Health Department is hosting mass vaccination clinics at the Fairgrounds today and tomorrow as Wisconsin reached another milestone this week fully vaccinating more than a million people.
