The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says she is pleased the Fond du Lac city council has approved a borrowing resolution for spending on Lakeside Park alternate master plan projects. The resolution approved by the council last week clears the way for spending on the city’s portion of the projects including infrastructure for a new restaurant and ice skating rink and boat docks. “We’re really pleased to see it continue,” Envision president Sadie Parafiniuk told WFDL news. Meanwhile Parafiniuk says the public can check out where the restaurant would be located after city crews staked the four corners of the building with pink flags last week. “We walked it last week and felt really small. I’m sure some would say it fells really big, but it did feel smaller when you’re physically walking it.” The location of the restaurant on Lighthouse Point has become the flashpoint of next week’s city council race.
