A kitchen grease flare-up is being blamed for an apartment fire in Fond du Lac that sent two people to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. At 6pm Wednesday Fond du lac firefighters were called to the Countryside West Apartments onSecurity Drive to find smoke coming from a second floor apartment. The fire caused significant damage to one unit in the 24 unit building. The building was evacuated until power and gas was restored.
