4-1-21 fdl police have developed a person of interest in fdl tavern shooting

Investigators have developed a person of interest in connection with a weekend shooting incident in a Fond du Lac tavern that seriously injured a Fond du Lac man.  Assistant Fond du lac police chief Aaron Goldstein  tells WFDL news the person of interest is not from Fond du Lac.  Goldstein says detectives have determined that the shooting at Kings and Queens Tavern early Sunday morning followed a physical altercation.  Goldstein told WFDL news the investigation shows eight or nine gunshots were fired inside the tavern.  Goldstein says the victim received multiple serious, but non life-threatening gunshot wounds to his body and is expected to survive.  The shooting incident is the latest in a series of altercations that Fond du Lac police have responded to at the tavern over the past several months raising questions about the future of the establishment’s liquor license.  “This is serious when you’re talking about violence not only with a physical fight but also with a shooting,”   Goldstein told WFDL news.  “We always take issues at licensed establishments under consideration.  I can tell you the city attorney’s office is aware of this incident and  when appropriate we’re going to make sure that they’re held accountable.”
