4-1-21 fdl procurement director says any construction at lakeside park wouldn’t take place until this summer

The city of Fond du Lac’s deputy procurement director says any construction on infrastructure at a restaurant and other facilities at Lakeside Park wouldn’t happen until summer.   The Fond du Lac city council last week approved a borrowing resolution clearing the way for spending up to $2.5 million on the city’s portion of the alternate master plan projects.  Musack says an engineer is designing the infrastructure that should be completed by the end of April followed by public bidding.  He says a site plan has been submitted for the building and city staff has placed flags where the restaurant will be located.  Musack says the overall size of the restaurant is somewhat smaller than the original conceptual plans.  The Friends of Lakeside Park group has said the square footage of the building is just over 12,000 square feet.  Musack told WFDL news he doesn’t have the exact figures, but says city’s outline of the restaurant is pretty close to an area outlined earlier by the group Friends of Lakeside Park.
